Brief

This has included finding different ways of thinking about the challenges faced by Londoners, seeing the challenge through their eyes, and then most importantly finding solutions that dramatically improve the quality of life for future generations.

Through this challenge we want you, the next generation of young Londoners, to understand the exciting world that those of us who work in the built environment operate in.  We would love for you to understand some of the opportunities that might be open to you as a young person through a career in the built environment.

Also, we want to see London through your eyes and learn from you – we are hoping to see some new, disruptive and significantly different ways of tackling some of the challenges for this generation.

• A site appraisal - explaining the site, its context and its history and explaining the limitations that surround its future development. 

• A problem - what problem have you identified with the current arrangements at the site, whether that is a lack of affordable housing, accessibility, retail challenges, lack of community inclusion or even climate crisis. 

• A solution - this can take any form, it may be a strategy of how the site could be redeveloped, it could be a building and its design, it could be a townscape solution. You can take on as much or as little of the site as you choose.
