Hello!

I’m Inês Ramos, a 23-year-old Portuguese immigrant in London, UK, originally from Abrantes, Portugal.

I believe architecture creates homes where people live, learn, work, and pray. My goal is to design spaces where memories are made.

I earned a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design from Lambeth College, worked at Squire & Partners, and showcased my project at the London Design Festival in 2020.

I graduated my Bachelor's Architecture RIBA Part 1 at the University of East London in June 2024.

I also run an online shop on Ko-Fi selling art prints, bookmarks, stickers and digital products based on illustrations of artists tour outfits. And I upload music covers and original tracks on YouTube and other platforms.

ZAP Architecture - Architectural Designer Placement

During my work placement at ZAP Architecture, I gained insight into the various roles architects play in their profession and the challenges faced by small architecture businesses. I was surprised to learn about the diverse responsibilities architects have, including negotiating and leading a business. My first task involved creating positive and inviting signs for a specific demographic in Stratford, which required extensive research and creativity. This experience improved my technical skills and highlighted the importance of adaptability in the field.

University of East London - Student Ambassador

Collaborated with a team of student ambassadors to facilitate various university events, including open days, evenings, and UCAS activities. Using communication skills through conducting campus tours and articulating a comprehensive overview of the university experience to prospective students and visitors. I was able to contribute to the enhancement of the university's public image by effectively describing my personal academic journey and experiences, showcasing the institution's unique offerings, and fostering a positive and informative atmosphere during engagement with diverse audiences.

Squire & Partners - Architecture Placement

Engaged in a comprehensive work experience program within the architecture sector to gain deeper insights into the field and ascertain its alignment with my future career aspirations. Acquired proficiency in utilizing industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and expanded my skill set through hands-on experience with Photoshop. Actively participated in the conceptualization, sketching, and development of a hotel plan, culminating in a detailed presentation to the project team. This experience not only refined my technical capabilities but also enhanced my understanding of collaborative work dynamics and project execution within the architecture domain.

This year has been difficult, extremely hard and at the same time it was the year where I felt more love and gratitude for the life I have.
I was an Architecture intern for a small but amazing Architecture firm.
I was able to finish all my projects on time and did my best in this stressful time of the year.
I graduated uni with a degree in Architecture, my grandparents travelled from Portugal to come see my graduation ceremony.
I spent time with my family and my chosen family.
I have learned that I can forgive but never forget the attitudes of a family member.
I was able to make more cover videos on YouTube.
I was able to heal and get better physically.
Now I can only hope that this new year will be better!

AVA Architecture and Visual Arts Degree Show

This is my final show as I am graduating now. I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I started my bachelor’s degree. I feel so lucky to have met incredible students and staff that have helped me grow not just with Architecture but with growing as an individual.

I was part of the @unit_h_uel where our projects were based in Ireland. Throughout the year I have done research not just on materials, but the client and the vernacular architecture in Galway.

Week Dump
I finally learned how to work with the laser cutter in uni! So now I can work on more pieces with complexed patterns and shapes, which is going to help my wrist (ever since the last injury my wrist hasn’t been the same).

Ireland 🇮🇪🫶
This was the first time that I’ve been to Ireland. I had the trip along the university to study the culture, architecture and history of our site and the area surrounding the site. I was able to meet new people and see up close the conditions of the site but in the video I show you different shots that I took (or was taken when I was looking around), that brings the colours, culture and architecture of Connemara, Galway and Dublin.
